Google doesn't know China at all.

If I were Google, I would build data centers jointly with local gov in emerging districts, providing 'free' cloud computing service to millions of SMBs. Who's gonna shut down my servers?
If I were Google, I would establish schools jointly with local universities (who are controlled by gov) to teach under-graduates Google technology and life style, and send them to work.
If I were Google, I would set up green labs to help gov save and recycle energy, and publish paper or products under gov name.

So, lose a lot of money? No!

The land in emerging districts with low cost can be sold in 10x price when the SMBs grow up;
The students who learned Google tech and life style are likely to be evangelists of Google;
The green projects will get a lot of subsidies, and can help Google global to reduce electronic expense.

Always remember, if you want to do business in China, please help the gov to earn money (like increasing value of land), provide opportunities (like creating jobs), and build reputation (like going green). Then you will be safe and rewarded with money, opportunities, and reputation.

But I’m not Google. So I will short sell NASDAQ:GOOG tomorrow.
